When I think of translation revisers (I note that this spelling is more popular than the one I usually prefer), I think of big in-house teams (many moons ago I spent a week with the OECD team) where seniors revise the work of juniors, usually very thoroughly.
I am a re-reader, employed for two of my good qualities: being naturally pernickety (What joy!) and something equally nebulous: having a "good writing style". I also have revisors scrutinising my own translations: red ink,…

My last to explain why I use 're-reader'. But I see that this is not as clear as 'reviser' even if my meaning is more restrictive in that I'm the senior asking usually younger translators to pick up on certain aspects while leaving my 'style' intact. Clearer?
