Speaking at a conference?

If you're scheduled to speak at a conference -- and more particularly a conference with simultaneous interpretation -- take a look at this presentation by Calliope interpreters first.

  1. I used to think speakers should be given advice about how to speak for interpreters. I even had a leaflet printed for the. Then I realised that the moment speakers get up to talk, everything but their own words flees from their heads. They go into a kind of trance.

    I gave up.
